Ros marinus – this is how the ancient Greeks and Romans called the plant many centuries ago. They believed that rosemary prolongs youth, brings happiness and relieves bad dreams. From Latin, the name translates as “sea dew”. And there are reasons for this: a beautiful plant with purple buds grows right at the water’s edge, in sea foam. The Greeks dedicated it to Aphrodite, the goddess who emerged from the sea foam.

The beneficial properties of rosemary have been valued for a long time. This plant is a rich source of minerals: magnesium, potassium, sodium, iron, phosphorus, zinc, and its leaves contain 0,5 percent alkaloids and 8 percent tannins.

Rosemary leaves and root are used in folk and traditional medicine, cosmetology, cooking, and now also in the pet food industry.

Rosemary extract is a powerful natural antioxidant. It has an anti-inflammatory effect, neutralizes the action of free radicals, strengthens the immune system and improves the overall tone of the body.
